I know I shouldn't doodle at work....but....

here is a drawing that started on a post-it. I redid it on paper and scanned it. Then I was playing around with it on Illustrator. I am loving the patterns that there are in Illustrator, it just adds so much to the drawing. It's unfinished, but the chances of me finishing it are slim to none. I only get a few minutes every so often to dedicate to art.

Peanut Dreams and Elephant Wishes

Just another sketch I colored in digitally. If I could just get my Epson printer to print a quality print, maybe I could open my shop. I am so frustrated with it. I really just want to take it to a field and beat it with a bat, office space style. Ha, it is me really, I am not savvy enough to know how to sync illustrator and the printer to print quality prints. Do I scan at 300 dpi, or do I adjust the size in the software...who knows. I tried the Etsy forums, but no success. Back to trial and error. If you have any suggestions , I would love to hear them. At this point, I will try anything.

Continuation of My Alphabet Series

Yes, I am STILL working on that alphabet from last year! Ha, ha, and one day I will complete it. I have a few more letters done. I left off on E, so I have F, G, H, I, J ready. I made changes to the first ones I did. I had a grayish wood textured background, and I threw that out. I like the plain white better right now. Here they are. I am gonna go ahead a post the first ones too, in case you haven't seen them. Oh and I changed the C, it was cake, but now it's cupcake.

My Umbrella

Here is a little something I worked on last night. I am trying to get a good collection of new work before I list anything in my shop. I am exploring new color combinations and loving the pinks right now. I have never really used pink/fuchia in my art, but its seems fresh to me. It is just an umbrella and I need to add something to it...but i don't know what. Any suggestions?

A Drawing

Hello Bloggers! Well it has been a while. I am working on opening up shop again. There is so much to be done. First, dust off printers. Second, insert ink. Third, install all needed software on laptop that was lost! O.k. that doesn't count setting up the whole office/art studio space so that its functional. It is overwhelming, but its what I love to do. I have been trying to deny my creativity b/c I want to try and contribute a steady supplemental income for my family, but.....it aint worth doing if it makes me unhappy! Plus, I think Etsy is a great place to provide just what we need. I will be doing what I love and this time I intend to put 110% in it. Meanwhile, I have done a new painting and some drawings. Drawing is so much more convenient for me to accomplish. Sketchpad, pen, and baby in playroom. I will post the painting later, but for now here is a drawing I finished. SOOOO GOOD TO BE BACK!

Mommie and Lucy Sky

Hello everybody! Yes, I am still alive. I know its been a while, but you have no idea how my life has changed. God bless the mothers with three children or more because its a hard job. Everyday is a huge challenge for me, especially since I kinda spoiled my little lucy. She loves to be held! My art has been put on hold and I sure do miss it. I am just starting to get the itch to paint something. I set up a little art studio in our garage (new house), no more art room in the house. So maybe one day I can actually get a moment to myself and create. I am focusing on just getting my body back to normal along with everything else. Hope everyone is doing well, I still peek in at some of my favorite blogs and shops from time to time.

My New Favorite Blog

This Young House is such a wonderful blog I happened to stumble upon while looking up how to paint a table on the web. I am so glad I did! I not only got some great tips on how to paint my yucky black dining table, but I found so much information on tons more projects. Take their house tour and you will discover how much sweat they put into making their fixer upper home into a lovely, chic to die for home! These are my three favorite rooms they redid, but they also did the bedrooms, bathrooms, front porch, and back patio. We are talking a head to toe makeover. I only dream of being able to do what they have done. We want to own a home so bad, but have no idea where we are moving to right now. So hopefully one day soon we will be able to. You must also check out their handmade wedding they put together that was held in their beautiful backyard. It is amazing how frugal they were, and how beautiful it turned out.
